Bully Me Two Edition Book Announcement

Hi friends, fans and visitors,

bully me junior coverFirst of all a big thank you to all those who gave me very valuable feedback regarding the book proposal “Bully Me”. Because of your feedback, I have decided to write a junior edition in the form of a novella and an adult edition in the form of an Autobiographical Narrative. Both editions will feature the same events in my life, but the junior novel will be written in third person and appear more like a story whereas the adult edition will be more like an autobiographical recount with somewhat of a narrative style and will be written in first person.

bully me adult coverI have decided to put all other books on hold and focus exclusively on these two books. When they are finished, I will make a big announcement on this blog so stay tuned. In the meantime, here are the two brand new cover designs. You will note some distinct changes from the original. I took the blue background away and replaced it with a sunrise to suggest hope. I kept the heart of the child the same, broken and patched, but made the adult one whole to suggest healing had taken place. Both subjects are looking towards the sunset, which represents a brighter future even in the face of difficulty. The font for the adult edition is a more mature font and the target larger because bullying is more sophisticated as we get older.

Please feel free to comment on the covers and anything else you noticed.

  1. A quick comment, since you asked. πŸ™‚

I like the covers, the composition is nice. However, I think when they’re sized down to thumbnail (like on amazon or other sites like that) they’ll be unreadable. In large form, like on this page, they’re quite nice though.

    Hope that helps.

    • Thank you. I really appreciate your feedback and I think you are right. I was thinking about removing all but one of the circles and enlarging the font for that same reason. I’ll try it tomorrow and see how it looks. In the end though I think it’s more important that I crack on with writing them. lol πŸ™‚

      • Overall, I think those are a lot better. They’ll be a lot more friendly to resize. If I was going to get nit-picky, I’d suggest a couple color changes. The center of the bulls-eye is so much darker than the outer ring that it gets a little lost. Same deal with the heart on the sleeve. Changing that outer ring to a shade of red might help reinforce the bulls-eye concept as well.

But, like I said, those are just nit-picks at this point. Overall, it’s a very solid concept that looks like it’ll work well. Hope that helps. πŸ™‚

  3. I am so happy you are writing these. Bullies fill the world with their ugliness and it’s time people realize the toll being bullied takes. Hugs and best wishes as you commence this project.

  4. I am so proud of you Paul for taking this brave step! Knowing you as a writer with great oratory skills such as you have will make this book a really good read and give your audience more insight into the person you have become. I can’t wait to get hold of a copy when it’s finally in print.
